December 30, between 10:30 and 13:30 hr, eight Orcas were seen first off the coast of Puerto Piramides, and finally off Punta Alt, in Gulf Nuevo. According to the report by the Sosa family from “Peke Sosa Whale-watching Tours”, the orcas socialized with the boat, then practiced dolphin hunting, successfully capturing one!

Thanks to their great images we could positively identify Jazmin and her group (Jazmin, her calf, Konke and Enid), as the group that came close to the boat. We cannot confirm the identity of the other four orcas, though we think we see Shekei and Lea. The photos are excellent, but were they taken with a cell phone. So the image quality, the speed, the watersplash and the distance from the boat makes a positive identification difficult. THANK YOU SO MUCH PAMELA, JERO AND MICKY FOR SHARING!
