Océano Patagonia’s Your Adventure Starts Here video will be viewed by ~2.3 million people when featured on all American Airlines flights around the globe this July. Working with select operators in the region, the eco-hotel is presenting Peninsula Valdés and all it has to offer as an adventure destination that is also a special home to some of the world’s most important wildlife.
“Although Peninsula Valdés is a UNESCO World Heritage site fairly well known in Europe and South America, our research and the experience of other operators in the area indicated that North American audiences still have a lot to learn about this destination,” explains Sharilyn Amy, co-owner of Océano Patagonia. “Rather than just creating another hotel promotion, we saw an opportunity to work collectively with the Ministry of Tourism for Chubut and other operators in the region to tell a more thorough story of the region in a compelling way that leaves the audience inspired to learn more.”
In addition to the inflight media buy, the campaign, which will use the hashtag #YourAdventureStartsHere, involves several comprehensive digital and social media marketing strategies to support interest stimulated by the video.
Amy continues, “We believe these activities will help reinforce the broader promotional strategies of our partners and the Ministry of Tourism. Our cooperative strategies also demonstrate how much we can do, working together, to educate the world about the value of Argentina as a “must see in my lifetime” destination.”
The campaign launches in July, with pre-launch strategies beginning in June.
