Oceano Patagonia

Wow! What a first year! Happy Birthday Océano Patagonia!

At Océano Patagonia: Wild Coast Residence we recently celebrated our first year of operation and we would like to thank our guests and all of our friends for their support.

There is no place in the world like Peninsula Valdés, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its unique formation along the Atlantic Coast of Argentina has created a special environment that supports the reproductive cycles of some of the most important and breathtaking wildlife on this planet. Recognized by National Geographic as on of the top places in the world to see the Southern Right Whale, Oceéano Patagonia started as a dream to build the most sustainable accommodation possible in honour of protecting this pristine environment that all these majestic animals call home.

This amazing first year, Oceano Patagonia was recognized by many for our our sustainable approach to tourism, supporting the environment and our community, with awards, profiles and activities, including:

#1 Place to Enjoy Spring in Argentina

With all of our rooms facing the beach, our guests stay so close to the whales that they can hear them breathing and see them directly from their balcony. They also have easy access to knowledgeable guides who work within this wildlife reserve and can help them explore some of the most beloved mainland penguin, sea lion and elephant seal colonies on the planet. In the summer months, our beach and turquoise waters are some of the most beautiful to enjoy in all of Argentina.

Thank you for choosing to explore and enjoy this natural treasure with us. We give our greatest thanks to our:

  • ~5,500 guests who chose to stay with us,
  • more than 3,040 social media friends and followers; and
  • 165 guests who took the time to review Océano Patagonia to help us know what we do well and how we can improve rating us 4.8/5 stars on Facebook, 8.9/10 on Booking.com and and incredible 5 star overall on TripAdvisor.

We are also deeply grateful for all of the support we have received from the government, suppliers, media, tourism and diplomatic communities, including:
